Ricard Pastis is a concentrated anise-based spirit that is traditionally diluted with water and served as an aperitif.
Ricard’s ingredients: star anise, liquorice extracts and aromatic plants - are carefully selected to ensure the quality of every bottle. Ricard owes its reputation to its original recipe, which remains a closely guarded secret to this day.
Ricard Pastis should be served cold, prepared by adding 5 parts of chilled water to 1 part of Ricard, plus a few ice cubes. Ricard can be more or less diluted according to taste. Always add ice cubes last to preserve Ricard Pastis’ flavor.
For a sweeter version, try adding a dash of syrup:
- + dash of grenadine = "Tomate"
- + dash of orgeat/almond = "Mauresque"
- + dash of green mint syrup = "Perroquet"
