This is a signature label in honor of Nikka's founder Masataka Taketsuru, the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and brought this expertise back to Japan.
While remaining a smooth and well-balanced blended malt, the formula further showcases an exquisite balance between elegant softness and deep complexity along with rich mouthfeel and smokiness.
Nose: Fruity. Marked by citrus aromas like orange, but also by juicy pear notes. Complex and expressive, the nose evolves and reveals light herbaceous notes with a hint of peat and a slight bitterness, as it flows from orange to grapefruit.
Palate: Round and delicate. Cereal flavours stand alongside sweet spice with a touch of cardamom. At the same time, candied fruit notes appear with a more assertive character, lending it depth and length.
